Women’s History Month

Celebrating Extraordinary Women

Women's History Month is a time to celebrate the extraordinary women and the remarkable achievements they have made to get us where we are today. Whether in politics, science, sports, or the arts, women have been breaking barriers and making history. Honoring these women is a testament to the advancements made since the 1920s, when women encountered significant challenges during the Women's Suffrage Movement, ultimately leading to women gaining the right to vote. They have paved the way for us to where we are today, which is undoubtedly remarkable. However, this month, I want to spotlight some other distinct and extraordinary women.

The Proverbs 31 Women

The 'Proverbs 31 Women' are not just historical figures; their values and principles are still relevant and impactful in our modern society. These women are clothed with strength and dignity, and they 'train up' their children in the Lord. These women understand that their worth does not come from man, but their value is in God alone. They value the traditional family unit, uphold the sanctity of marriage, and teach their children that God is first, prayer is vital, and integrity matters. Whether they are focused on their careers or are homemakers, they guide their families in the Lord, even in the face of modern societal norms that have taken prayer out of our schools and removed God from the equation. These extraordinary women remain faithful and stand on the Word of God every day.

Strength and honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness. Proverbs 31:25-31

Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

I aspire to be more like these women who exemplify strength, wisdom, and grace in every aspect of their lives. I hope to embody the same resilience and compassion and face head-on the tremendous challenges with the same unwavering faith and boldness as these brave women. Their commitment to God and their families is truly inspiring. The 'Proverbs 31 Women' reminds us that a meaningful life is not in materialistic things or money but in our relationship with God, our families, our friends, and the Church body. Their faith is not just a personal belief, but it profoundly impacts their families, shaping their character and values. This is a remarkable woman and one that should be honored.

Their legacy of love, faith, and resilience is a precious gift to us all, reminding us that we are molded not by the world but by the Word of God, striving to reflect the image of Christ each day. The Proverbs 31 Women - are the remarkable women who will change the world. Let's honor them by embodying their virtues and making a positive impact through our faith.
