SALVATION

Jesus commanded them to wait for "The Promise" before leaving Jerusalem!

And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Acts 1:4-5

Acts 2:38

IT WASN"T A SUGGESTION

Jesus wanted the Apostles to receive the Promise (Holy Ghost) & commanded them not to leave Jerusalem. So they returned to Jerusalem and were filled. "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:4

PETER PREACHED

After receiving "The Promise" for himself - Peter's first sermon was Acts 2:38 after others heard them speaking in an unknown tongue & thought they were drunk. Peter said, "For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day." Acts 2:15 Then after telling them what they must do to be saved he tells them who it's for.  "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Acts 2:39

BAPTISM IN JESUS NAME ONLY

You will find no one in the Bible baptized in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.  Jesus is the Father, Jesus is the Son, and Jesus is the Holy Ghost. When you are baptized, you must be submerged in water and Baptized in Jesus Name.  Read Acts through and you will see.

Are You Bearing Fruit?

2FruitBearers knows that our strength is in God alone and that part of bearing fruit comes from our faith in Jesus... for without it we cannot please God. Bearing fruit consists of many things but having faith even in the darkest of hours - trusting Jesus in the midst of chaos and when hope seems lost... this is the ultimate of fruit bearing.  Are you bearing fruit today?

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6
